This presentation by Kim Onisko, CPA, presents an overview in the calculation of loss of income from injury or wrongful death. Mr. Onisko will discuss the elements of economic damage, the many components to be considered in earnings capacity, including fringe benefits and defined contribution retirement plans, the taxation of damage awards, discounting rates and methods, and other notable information as published in the Journal of Forensic Economics.

Kim Onisko, CPA is a Certified Forensic Accountant for Garrett Engineers, Inc. His practice includes economic loss analysis in matters of intellectual property, contract disputes, loss of profits and personal injury accounting as well as tax work for corporate, non-profit and governmental clients. Mr Onisko has performed special forensic engagements for local and state governmental agencies, and has testified as an economic expert in both State and Federal Court. Mr Onisko is a former board member of the American College of Forensic Examiners.
