This presentation will delve into the very definition of attorney client/attorney work product privilege, including purposes of protection, what constitutes “work product”  (derivative vs nonderivative), absolute protection for attorney’s “brain work”  (both written and unwritten) and other instances of privilege.  This will also cover non-privileged work such as official records and information, spousal privileges and more.  Time allowing, we will also focus on “Pitchess motions” for the release of police personnel files.
